This service requires that the PC Card and/or a Handset supports GPRS/EDGE (General Packet Radio Service/Enhanced Data Rate for GSM Evolution)

How to connect using your phone?

To connect to the internet using your phone follow the instructions below.

• Send SMS with the word “internet” to 232.
• You will them receive your handset settings
• Press “OK” and accept the settings
• Go to Internet/WEB icon of your handset
• Enjoy Internet access

Some handsets can not automatically accept Internet settings (Palm Treo, HP and some others). In this case you will need manually enter – Celtel TZ as a network name and internet.tz.celtel.com as APN.

How to connect using your PC?

To connect to Celtel Access using a Computer follow the instructions below.

1. Insert the SIM card into the PC Card (e.g. GC85 Sony Ericsson), attach the antenna to the card, and insert the GC85 Sony Ericsson PC Card into the laptop’s PCMCIA slot.
2. If the Sony Ericsson Wireless Manager does not come up automatically, double-click on the desktop shortcut.
3. Click on the Connection Wizard (The Wand Icon).
4. Select Create a New Connection, give it a title (Celtel TZ) and press the Next button.
5. Choose Connection Type – GPRS
6. Service Provider should be Celtel TZ
7. Check APN (Access Point number) internet.tz.celtel.com Choose Next
8. You do not have to enter or change User ID or Password , just choose Next. Press Finish to save your modifications
9. To select the connection just created: Select your connection (Celtel TZ) from the drop-down list and choose Connect
